Better Luck In The Mornin'

Morning So, we got up and put the GoSun Grill out in the sun around 9 to see how it would do pre-heating.  We feel a ton better.  It took about 45 minutes to pre-heat to #3, then another 15 minutes to get up to #4...I feel better because my husband was very critical about the GoSun last night and how slow everything was. NOTE: When writing about GoSun recipes...please indicate which version you are using...the Go, the Sport or the Grill.  I am sharing pre-heat time, temperatures and time cooking because I am just getting used to it. We tried scrambled eggs in silicone muffin cups, reheating some of the potatoes from last night, and cooking some Italian sausage links whole ( rather than sliced ). Started cooking when at #3, checked the bunch after 30 minutes...not much change in temperature but steaming and cooking. So, the eggs in silicone muffin cups ( jumbo cups - see below ) turned out great...they took about an hour...but we had filled the cooking chamber up ...

Italian Sausage with Rosemary, Gold Potatoes, Red Bell Pepper and White Onion

Ingredients 2 packages of Italian sausage, 5 links each -  OPTIONS: sweet, mild, or spicy 1 small white onion 1 red bell pepper 1 bag of small gold potatoes 2 sprigs rosemary olive oil seasoning mix ( garlic, basil, oregano, onion, salt, pepper ) I was worried about overfilling the GoSun cooking trays, so I ended up using only 7 sausages ( 5 sweet and 2 spicy ) and half of the bag of potatoes . Can you guess what is for breakfast tomorrow? I cut everything into approximately 1-inch pieces or chunks. I spread a light layer of olive oil on the cooking trays ( sides and bottom ) and on the drip trays to assist with clean up later. In the GoSun cooking trays, I placed the "drip trays" into the very bottom and layered the food on top. I placed the red bell pepper pieces in a single layer at the bottom. First Day and Some Recipes to Start Off With

After participating in the Kickstarter campaign ages ago...then waiting another age for final product and delivery...and then letting it age in its box for half an age, we FINALLY opened the box today! We got the GoSun Grill ( solar cooker ) set up in the front yard this afternoon! I ran off to the grocery store to get some fixins to try out this evening...I will keep you posted...
